Heath Ledger died Yesterday. Yesterday. Like 40 hours ago. Tonight there are ( winking) people already wasting precious internet space by mentally masturbating with the supposed similarity of Ledgers death and that of The Crow star Brandon Lee. Let us put on our BSSI (bull shit special investigation) badges and take a look.

They were the same age which would seem much more odd had they shared a birthday, or a mother, or a third grade classroom. There are a lot of 28 year olds out there. Most people don't die in their 20's, but plenty do. Maybe there is some other " connection"

During both of their deaths, each had a role that required makeup. Lee's charactor was Vengeful hero, Ledgers was the Joker in Batman The Dark Night. okay, that's kinda weird.

Both died while a movie was in production.

Lee was actually filming The Crow when he was killed. Ledger was on break from filming The Imagination of Doctor Parnassus when he died. So maybe there is some sort of similarity, but no "connection". Lee died while filming the movie that required the makeup, but ledger has already completed his role in Batman. Sorry conspiracy nuts.

Maybe there is a connection in their actual deaths?

Lee was shot by a malfunctioning prop gun. Ledger took too many pills. Whether these pills were ingested by accident or not is still under speculation. Accidental or not, Ledgers death was more or less at his own hands where Lees was due to an accident/incompitence. They are both tragic and most likely were preventable, that seems to be the only real "connection"

I don;t really know which death is more dramatic to me. One features the son of a star who died too early and faced the same fate himself. Who knows if The Crow would have made Lee a star. I am sure his death added to the allure of the movie. Ledger was already a star. I suppose in this day and age, the depressed superstar who loses his life to drugs is held to a God like stature whereas an accident on a set is viewed more like.."that sucks" I suppose the autopsy will be the ultimate determinate as to Ledgers legacy.
